Robyn Opacity, LMT, CST founded The Healing Foundations to help people live more comfortable lives in their bodies. Too often, people are handed a diagnosis without the key ingredient of hope for recovery. Your body, (yes, yours!), wants to feel better. Our bodies are self-healing. She's here to support that process by treating the cause or causes of pain and dysfunction. Over the course of her career, Robyn has watched her clients' symptoms disappear as their bodies come back into balance and health. Her mission is to help as many people as possible.
Personal Journey
Robyn understands what it's like to live with chronic pain, and the diagnoses (or complete lack of diagnosis) that health care providers hand out as though they are life sentences to suffering.
She found her way to less pain, more freedom of movement, and better health. Discovering myofascial release and craniosacral therapy were transformative for her life and health.
She is dedicated to passing along the freedom and supporting others with healing pain, trauma and dysfunction in their bodies.
Education
Robyn has a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University. She graduated valedictorian from the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in 2007. She went on to complete a second comprehensive therapeutic massage program at the Therapeutic Massage and Training Center in Westfield, NJ in 2022. She has studied anatomy, physiology and many fascial bodywork techniques extensively throughout her training as a Myofascial Release Specialist with John F. Barnes, and as a Craniosacral Therapist with the Upledger Institute. Since 2020, Robyn has been training with a mentor who is an expert in Barnes Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and Physical Therapy Rehabilitation.
Robyn is a lifelong learner, and takes regular continuing education classes to support her ability to help care for others.
Robyn's passions outside of work include being with loved ones, hiking, travel, meditation and wine.
